so if I have an ss amp with (or not) tube preamp,power around 400w or + 500w you sugest that I need an 4 ohm cabinet(4x10's) ? I mean its better than using an 8 ohm ? thanx

heya so I need to decide between this 2 4x10's, Gallien Krueger 410rbx and Warwick wca 411pro ...gk is 800w8ohm and ww is 600w8ohm ,gk is 100eu more than ww. I really apreciate any oppinion or/and maybe your experience with these cabs.I play metal moustly. cheers

With my Octabass, I had to actually replace the switch altogether. It took about 10 minutes to do. For the record, I had been using the pedal for many, many years before the original switch gave out... With the Valve Drive, there was some noise issues with one of the switches. I cleaned...

I have had reliability issues with EBS footswitches (both my Valve Drive and Octabass), but nothing I couldn't easily work with. I heard others complaining about this....actualy what was ur problem with the switch ? how you manage to fix it ? cheers

haellou,have one for more than 1 year and have no problem,use it many times live and endless reherseals ... very nice od sounds,a real beast :D its no problem to change the tube ... mine was 280 euros ....prety expensive ,the only bad thing concerning the pedal is that : made in china ..... for...

I-m using sansamp for live ,,,clean tone set on it most of the time,use ebs valvedrive for od parts,also using a syb5 ocasionaly :) and I think I need a comrpessor pedalfor live also

u mean that u only can use the expression pedal in stereo ?

had syb-3 - great pedal,not the ebst tracking,but sounds killer had dd-6 - decent delay,bought it for reverse option,but I didt like it too much have syb-5 - better tracking than syb3,love it till now cheers

it mostly depends on ur style,but my segestions is for an boss syb 5 and an expression pedal ...instead of an wah :) cheers

syb 5 tracks better than 3,and u can use it with expression pedal which is great and cant compare digitech with boss,although dbw is a n decent pedal

had an syb 3 and dd 6,both prety good fx's now I have syb 5 which is an great fx !!! tracking isnt perfect,but not sa bad as all use to tell :) imo cheers

thats of course if u-re using a good compression pedal...i have tried a few and it realy was an desapoitment for my sound ! do u think dual band compression is a must for bass ?

I think in studio work u cant "forget" about compresion...its absolutelly necesary...but is it the same when u play live ? its makin ur bass line more linear and equal or its just cutting ur punch and balls ?
