I have had humbuckers and single coils and the single's win hands down. you get all the bottom end you need with clarity and it sounds like a tb2000. The humbuckers push out too much bottom and volume, his single coils are perfect.

My new one will be ready soon i hope.

My Egc is for sale

Amo deal with the egc. the ampeg plexi basses are so bad but look cool. for the plexi and wood basses EGC keep the neck seperete so the neck is not dampened. You only need to put down a 30 percent deposit to get it started then 6 months to save up the rest.

I also got a rusty box a couple of years ago. Works well if you only want to sound like weston with no bottom. I do like them but they take away bottom end from your amp and hide the real tone of a bean/egc. they are good for a p bass into a solid state head but if you have a EGC then why hide...

Yeah, i used to use a whole load of pedals and a Sansamp preamp. when i got my travis bean (before i had a Matamp)i did not need a preamp and a many pedals. the egc is the bean on speed so it's got more bottom and volume so again i don't need pedals to change my true tone. I do use a bass synth...

If i do get another bass it will be a tb200 body, all aluminum, light blue ano like on a way huge aqua puss. neck and bridge pickup pickup selector only(no knobs) bigger note markers on the thread of the neck regular aluminum neck/frets

How long did you all wait? i was told four months but it took just over six.

I miss a little bit the waiting mystery time. the black whole that was my life waiting for my bass. That might be why i want to sell my bean just so i can order another custom EGC and wonder what the hell it will look like. I know it would be dumb as f to sell it but man i want another EGC.

Have you tried amping up the Rickenbacker after playing the egc? I found the pickups so hot that it's perfect if you have the one bass but if you need to use another bass then you need to eq the amp different to match the tone. The Bean i have is already hot with the pickups but either i need...

that's a great photo, I love the green, is it a shorter scale or is it just because it's the guitar body. the block inlays look off the scale. I don't want to sell my Travis Bean but i might need to as i want another egc bass. The bean is insane and the scale is a little shorter which is good...
