I agree rotos sound best when broken in. Although I think that to be true with most strings. Rotos take a bit longer to break in. I change strings about every 3 or 4 months.

I see 83 fender pbasses sold on vintage and rare guitar websites all the time. I think it has more to do with demand vs supply vs age.

Why does eppi make a new color for the jack,and its the crappy silverburst. Why not red or white with black back, or god forbid a burst that looks good, cherryburst.

I aggree with Lo-E. I have a 83 sienna burst p-bass.The neck is effing beast. Big but easy to play. My friends who are not "fender people" all say its the best fender they ever played, and that maybe they need to rethink ther view of Fender basses.

I have this 1983 American Fender P-bass with an EMG in it.I don't think its the stock pup(all the pictures of same type basses had white ones). The pup looks to be around the same age as the bass. Which Type of EMG would this be? Does EMG still make this pup?

A few of my friends do this. One with a v4b and the other with a v4,bolth play through big 8X10's. It sounds great. These are great amps with a ton of volume, power, and a beefy overdrive sound.

You just use the E string more.All Ernie Ball strings go dead quicker than almost any other string.GHS Boomers might be the only string that dies quicker.Ernie Ball strings are all hype and adds in guitar mags to get kids to buy them. Its funny how bad there strings are,because ther basses rule.

Ernie Ball strings should cost about 20 bucks,which is about 15 bucks more than they're worth. Check out DR,D Addario,or Roto Sound.All these strings will last longer that the Ernie Ball.
