I like the peak stand as well. It is sturdy enough to trust to hold my tablet, but if someone decides to hand me a chart, I have a place to put it, where that is not the case with a tablet holder.

Yep, been doing that for years, it just stopped working. About 3 weeks later, it came back. All has been well ever since. Periodic updates sometimes don't work but most times, they do.

About 2 weeks seems average with my basses.

I prefer to stand but when I play one of my regular coffee house gigs, I'm playing with a pianist, drummer, and a seated guitarist. I sit, otherwise I feel like I stick out. After 3 hours, my butt hurts way worse than my feet and knees if I stood.

I have an old container of Carlson rosin that became hard as glass. The rosin is in an aluminum cup, so I put a 1" alcohol wipe under that and sealed plastic container. About 8 hours later, the rosin was gooey. I took out the alcohol pad and came back later and the rosin had hardened and worked...

I equate the sound of new Zyex with hitting tennis balls against a metal garbage can. After a couple of weeks, they develop a wonderful, loud thump at the fundamental with nice warm overtones.

I never could bond with the Kolsteins and went back to Zyex lights. The Heritage are in the classifieds. I was hoping to have ended my search but, unfortunately tried a bass with perpetuals. I may have to crack open the wallet again, someday.

The bass cub is meant to run powered speakers. I use a PB 100 (2 speakers , 100w, essentially a bass cub with no preamp). Outdoors, I use a PB 300 (6 speakers, 300 watts) and sometimes I'll daisy-chain all 3 (making my mini stack with 10 speakers and 500 watts).

I have bass clef bibs on both of my basses. I like them a lot and they stay in place better than other bibs that I’ve tried. Not so keen on the alligator look, but I like the suede.
