I have other basses with different strings, and I have tried others on this bass. The Nylons are just that perfect for this bass that I am willing to deal with the hum. When playing loud it isn't noticeable. And in between songs I can put a finger on the bridge or control plate.

Grab them both!! And whichever one you don't like send to me. Problem solved!!!!

I an not really into wearing things around my wrist. How about something conductive stuck on the upper side of the neck pickup where I usually rest my thumb? If I touch the bridge the hum goes away.

So I love the sound of the nylon tape wound strings on my J bass. But they don't ground when I touch them, so there is always a slight hum. Anyone know of a fix for this?

What are you guys using to adjust the tuner collars on older Broad Basses?

Yup mine needs some help. The neck pickup only works in position 2. Time to bust out the tools!!

Does anyone know what the 5 positions on the pickup selector knob are supposed to be on the Baretta 422???? Mine may not be working right....

I have two Yamahas, both MIT. I have played MIJ Yamahas and I find the quality identical. Broad Basses are the shiznit!!!

Go for it man... Mod that tings until your heart's content. And have fun doing it. A friend of mine has a TR50 and he is in the process of refinishing it and upgrading the pick ups. If you think it is worth it than in is!!

I would guess that foundation is a 90. I have a 89 and it has the Grover Titans and a asymmetrical (trapezoid) bridge. Anyhow Foundations are AMAZING basses. Enjoy!!!!
