Hey guys, How do you go about changing the pickup height on your TC5s? I tried loosening the screws to raise the neck pickup a bit but they were a bit harder to loosen than I'm used to with other basses, and once I loosened the screws a bit it didn't have any effect on the pickups at all.

I'd the say peavey would give you the best bang for your buck. It's considerably cheaper than the other ones and has quality and tone to rival the other two options (in my opinion anyways). Not to mention that it's 100 times sexier than the Ken Smith and the TRB :smug:

This happens to me sometimes if I pluck the string exceptionally hard with my picking hand. If you're convinced that your set-up is A-OK then I think you have your answer :) Be that as it may, I could be wrong.

Regarding the price I saw the same basses on Musician's Friend for 299.99, so I thought that paying 250.00 for that plus a Badass bridge and a hard case was a good deal. I'm not very bargain-saavy I was just sharing what I thought was a fair deal.

As the other guys have said Lemmy played a Rickenbacker but I'm 90% sure that Juan Alderete played a Jazz bass with Racer X so it depends mostly on how you play and what rig you're playing through. The P-Bass or Rickenbacker would probably be ideal for the punchy sound that they provide but...

Mine looks exactly the same :) I'm not quite satisfied with it yet as it's not set up properly but I'm sure that once I get the action and pickup height adjusted it'll sound great. Glad to join the club boys :D
