I play a four string. 1985 Ibanez Roadstar. P/J configuration with Bass boost, tone and volume knobs. I paid about $365 for it, probably scammed myself, but the bloody thing is amazing. Worth every single penny.

I find unnatural 'coloured' finishes to look simply tacky. I love the look of natural wood.

If it was a four string fretless, I'd totally save up to get it.

My first was a used Dean Evo back in '07. I've since defretted it and redone the fretboard. It's still my main bass. :D

I got something similar to that once. I told him that it was okay that he said that, just for him to not expect to be making any money off me and that he's just lost a customer.

I've only once had someone come up to me and ask if my gear was of a different company than it was. Wasn't Fender they asked, though, it was Gibson. Apperently Dean Evos look like Gibsons. :\
