Make sure your truss rod is straigh to !! if the action is getting high it could be due to bridge or truss rod, also you slap up to the twelth fret? Personally i prefer about 7/32ths of an inch, although sugguested is 3/32nds, i gotta stingray, to so i prefer the action a little higher...

You should check out Kinal basses, hes a luthier in vancouver, ive played some of his stuff at L and M and seen it online. check out Greg Bagley and his galore of acoustic bass, tho kinals electrics are out of this world in play ability and tone.

full scale acoustic bass with high action really REALLY puts your technique under a microscope and strengthens muscles. Ukulele really helped me with finger dexterity and learning a whole new set of tuning.

GKMB200 is an amazing head, i would say if you want to go modern, GKmb200, and vintage the portaflex is more then the trick. Also i hear that the GKmb200 is just as loud or louder then the portaflex, im unsure how accurate that is, check up on it.

I've got a MB200, one of the new ones with only speakon connectors and i'm curious is it safe to make a speakon to 1/4 adapter and if so, what should i look out for. Also, if i'm daisy chaining two cabs together that are 8 ohms, my load is 4 ohms correct?

I got one of these heads, love em beautiful usability and sound but my dealer mentioned that if I played this head without the speaker attached it can seriously harm the head which to me not only is disappointing when I wish to play with headphones or within studio work but doesn't make sense...

just for my two bits, i bought one of these heads and a SWR goliath JR 2x10 with tweeter. it sounds SO CLEAR and pretty powerfull for the price. power wise tho im not worried becuase the goliath has an output on it to daisy chain another cab ie, a 1x15, which i tried in stores, it was so loud...
