I have 2) Elwood's and a Mopped B 5 string, none has required more than a slight adjustment for ambient weather conditions or occasional setups. They have been rock solid.

Not that I didn't like it, its that it was missing some tonal variation that I need in order to tweak the mids where I need it. Yes, the BQC did wonders for the tone, its the 35" scale I'm struggling with (elbow injury limitations)

The pickups, that's all about preference. I have had 6 Maruszczyks all of them with Delanos they all sound fabulous. My preference would be Delano Times Square SBC's with the Maruszczyk 3 band Toneformer or a Trickfish IPA 3 band. Not an offering, but he would probably source one for you.

GR Bass One 800 - Once again, compared to the Puma or Eich, it is perceived louder due to the low gain staging and non-linear volume.

I noticed with the PUMA/ Eich heads the gain section really makes a difference. I can turn the gain on the PUMA almost all the way up and it doesn't clip, same with Eich. You may be used to other heads where running past noon was enough to get the output you desire.

I recieved a quote from them last year on a Plek job for a 5 string bass, It was very reasonable even with shipping. I decided to sell the bass instead, but it was for other reasons that I didn't pursue it.

I don't know if Adrian will do this from the factory but I found that North Coil/Series/South Coil wiring a much better fit for my needs.
