I did it, it works fine. The input impedance of the mixer is high. The voltage of the speaker outputs is not significantly higher than line voltages. The mixer draws so little current the head barely knows it has the mixer connected to its outputs.

How about tuning to your lowest required setting and putting a capo on for higher tunings?

yes, the band has an enormous PA and I will DI out to it for gigs. We rehearsed this afternoon and I used one of the 212 Neos. I was pushing it pretty dang hard! It sounded great though and the guys were pleased with the sound.

Well, the GK 1001 RB arrived with one of the 2x12 neo cabs. The other is on order. It is wonderful. Thank you for all your help folks, I am super happy with my set-up and glad I spent the extra cash.

Ok, cool. I'll keep it on the list. The only remaining question mark is whether the PF800 will sound as fat as a tube-preamp model. I'm hoping to try them back-to-back but struggling to find a store that has PF800s and LH1000s and MB800s available to try back-to-back.

What about the HK Neo 412 under an HK MB Fusion 800? Don't you miss the ability to overdrive right on the amp? The MB has 2 channels and a footswitch, so I'd have to get me a pedal overdrive or something to get that sound with the LH1000.

Possibly. My Rolands are combos, but they're not powerful enough and they're chuffing heavy as it is. They don't need an AB box because they're designed to be used as a pair, and each has a stereo in/out socket (built-in AB box I guess).
