    Anyone ever run outa gas?

I have had GAS for many years and also been involved in trading, buying & selling, etc. which is also fun..Be careful and checkout thoroughly and ask yourself if "said gear" will be of actual use now or in the future, or will it end up a decoration or somewhere out of sight in a case...I found...

Harley Benton/J&D basses vs cheapest Amazon/Ebay basses (Ammoon or Glarry). Are they the same?

I want to thank the above entries for the info on Ammoon & Harley Benton Basses. I did have a Ammoon Jazz bass that was not a keeper. I came across a Harley Benton PB50SB&FR bass that looks like a 54 Precision bass. I ordered one at $103 with $33 shipping from Thomann in Germany. I have not...

Why is mixing cab sizes a bad idea?

Anyone's thoughts on using 2 combo amps together ? I currently have been using a Ampeg BA-210sp for gigs. I also have an Ampeg BA-115 that I am thinking of connecting the 2 with a "Live Wire Solutions" ABY Box which allows you to run either 2 Basses through 1 amp or 1 Bass through 2 amps. The...

    Stage attire 2019

My stage attire is a white french collar shirt with black vest, nice jeans and sneakers. The french collar shirts are a little hard to find and are more than $20. The musical note style shirts are also a good go to for stage attire.

    Ammoon's -$100 Jazz Bass: 4 months after!!

I ended up trading the Ammoon Jazz Bass & a 80's "Stage"HD-1200 P/J Bass for a 93 Ibanez SR850TT Bass. I was allowed $100 towards the trade, so I didn't take a loss on the Ammoon Bass. MDW

About to buy a used Ibanez sr400, What do you recommend?

I just bought a 1993 Ibanez SR890TT and have to say it's got great action and the tone is also really good. I did some quick research and found that it was made in Japan for 2 years, and the body wood is Ash. The Gold hardware adds to the appearance. A very nice looking Bass and very easy to...

    NBD: 2011 Fender 60th Anniversary P-Bass

Hi, I don't know if there is still a problem with your 60th Anniversary bass, but I have had one for 4-5 years and I did a lot of research on that model. I have been lucky enough to have had no problems with the bass at all. If I can be of any help, please let me know. Mikael

Hi Instant Ectobass, There are 2 video's on u-tube that compare the cheapest Bass on Amazon & ebay against a $10,000 Bass and both of the cheap Basses are Ammoon Basses. I bought one on ebay for $73 with free shipping. You are "right on" in your Pro's & Con's of the Ammoon Bass. I did replace...

    Ampeg BA210SP

Hi Mike, I have a similar situation with a Ampeg BA115 @100 watts, and a BA210SP @220Watts. I bought a "Live Wire Solutions" Model ABY1, ABY Box and it works great and not very expensive. It uses a 9Volt battery, or a "Live Wire" PS9VDC power adapter. I would go with the power adapter. Hope it...

    Rickenbacker 4003 Pickguard Removal

In regards to saving your favorite Bassist's signature on a pickguard, buy a new pickguard & have it signed, then clearcoat with a gloss finish spray covering...Then you could use it on your Bass, display it, or whatever you decide & not lose the signature..

Who Else Started Bass at 58, or some other crazy old age?

I began on a 6 sting old acoustic guitar at the age of 14 and continued in a few R & R bands until 1973 at the age of 23. In 1981 I was talked into starting a Band again and this time on Bass for the reason of not finding a decent Bassist. Since 1981 I have logged in over 1,000 gigs through 5-6...

Is the Signature Flea Jazz worth a US Standard?

I recently purchased a Fender Flea Signature Jazz Bass from Musicians Friend. It arrived 3 days later, a very quick delivery. When I unpacked the Bass, the strings were loose. As I went to tune it, I made 2 turns and Pop! the G string broke. I replaced it and finished tuning it up. When I...

I love bass. Bands? Not so much.

The problem that I am dealing with is finding a Band in need of a Bassist. The previous band that I was a member of was together for 10 years & 389 gigs.
