Thanks dude. I should probably clarify, that the bass I have is already downtuned. The octave down would be just to thicken stuff up, not change the tuning of the bass.

Quick question: How does this pedal work as a fuzzbox for downtuned riffing? Maybe with a hint of sub octave and some octave up to thicken it up? I've understood that the tracking is sometimes bad on the lower strings, but if I'm not going full octave down, is it an issue?

Thanks, for the reply brother! I run the XU in quite a similar fashion, aggressive, clean and a little bite. I haven't had a Muff on my board for a while, maybe it's time to give it another go. Right now I've got a Diabolik taking care of the doomier side of things but it can get quite overwhelming.
