Yep, know exactly what you're talking about. I prefer the stock PUP on the BB43X series to the P3X. The BB43X is (from memory) something like 5% overwound compared to the P3X, which (I'm guessing) results in more presence in the mids. Standard P PUP is drop-in, in the latest Yammy BB series...

Yep, I'd probably spash the extra cash for the ultra-light GB350's, rather than buy a set of GB707's, but if he wants exactly the same tuners that are used on Ibanez Premium models, I am pretty sure they are 707's rather than the more expensive 350's.

OK, well if you're saying that the VP doesn't have a dual-action truss, I'll take it as a fact! LOL Come to think of it, I'm not sure I ever backed-off the truss-rod on my VP, only ever tightened it. One of my other Indonesian made T'Birds, (not VP), 100% for sure has a two-way rod.

Indonesian made with a two way truss-rod...... Going to be a welded-on hex nut. ie. non-replaceable, without replacing the truss-rod, I suspect.
