tina tom tom club genius of love even with the bass more in the back it has a real nice thump .... and i could watch young tina all day.... not sure about old tina though.

i had the same problem... they sent me the same items. i only replaced the battery clip been working fine since... it is easy to swap out.

i always like Don Was (not Was)

get a battery checker... when the unit stops working test the batteries and yes to both your questions . where mine seemed like the batteries died it was the battery clip the thing the batteries go into and and slides into the bass.

i have had battery problems also. i checked my batteries with a battery tester they checked out fully charged. seems the battery clip was a bit wanky i called kala they sent me a new Shadow pre amp/tuner and battery clip... i replaced the battery clip and it has been fine since. YMMV. my big...

I would say no here is a comparison of pahoehoe , round wounds, and flat-wound.

The flats seem to be a bit brighter to me.the Pahoehoes Always seemed a bit muddy But the big difference in playing the flats is they are very stable under my fingers no sliding around. I am happy with them.

Intonation sounds ok to me as it did with the pahoehoes . My instrument however is fretless ... I really like the feel of these.... they are very stable under my fingers.

Had them on for about a week. It all worked out well. I had pahoehoes originally so no filing. I trimmed the length to about 4inches past the appropriate post. I am well pleased with the flat wounds although the string flat wound portion does wrap the post a bit on the E and G strings....Thanks...

Most songs/tunes have an A B part played minimum3x. Does your band rehearse ? 1st time through do it bl’s way 2nd time through do it your way.... 3rd time through back to bl’s way.... let him hear the difference back to back...
