Talk to Brian Hart at Jams Music up in Dublin. He is the only one that does any work on my instruments.
Yes, it is a drive to get there but if you leave after 10 am and head back before 2pm (traffic), then it should not be that bad.
Also, I too had bad experiences at Keith Holland Guitars but...
FYI: The Reverb shop "The Guitar Factory" has really good pricing on new Fender basses.
Their extra discounted sales seem to start around 8pm P.S.T.
NOTE: I am not affiliated with them in this or any other parallel universe.

1. Get frets worked on.
2. Truss rod/ neck adjustment if needed.
3. Check pickup heights- maybe need adjusting.
4. If getting new pu's- maybe copper shielding inside.
5. Yes to black pickguards.
Enjoy
A question for anyone:
Does the pedal need to have a LM308N chip in it to be considered a rat?
Are there other alternatives and it would be still called a rat pedal?
I like to have a Boss tuner first on my pedalboards.
1. To tune when needed.
2. Use it as a mute switch.
3. Utilize the Boss buffer for the signal.
Also, I like Castline patch cables. I find their quality to be really good. You can buy them on Reverb or direct from their website.
With...
If playing into an amp, know what the flat tone settings are. Else, it can really affect the sound of the pedals too much.
The knobs on my amp where set a noon but it was still too scooped so I disliked the pedals and got rid of them.
It is good to hear you were very honest with that transaction. Having worked in a lot of retail jobs, I could see something like that happening to me.
Also, you could have saved that person from being fired.
I had a broken battery box on my Sterling by MusicMan.
I contacted the company about replacements. They asked for an approximate date of purchase. After I gave it to them they sent a box to me free.
How about 2 setups:
1. Bass to pedal tuner (also used as a mute) and maybe a HP/LP filter (I use a Brougton) or a compressor then to amp.
2. A larger pedalboard (also with tuner/mute) and all the other pedals you like just in case that gig wants a DI signal only (no amp or cab). Leave the...
Chumbawamba's Tubthumping could pass for Irish even though they are an English group.
Pretty much anything by the Irish Rovers like Black Velvet Band. I suggest not doing The Unicorn Song unless you want everybody to start crying in their beer.
Glad to know you are feeling better. The bass purchase is probably easier to deal with than an intense viral infection.
If your wife does not believe you, then just look at the time-stamp of the purchase: in bed, feverish...
Maybe you should have at least one other person go with you.
They can help setup/take down displays
and watch the area while you are on break.
Also, they can keep an eye out for people (and children) who might not be too careful while looking at your items.
Bring an amp so people can test the...
Bongos with a stand.
Stage lights and/or color light bar.
Fog machine (use it for halloween).
Stickers, keychains, wall posters- to give as gifts later.
I understand what you are going through. There have been people in my life who acted as if they had their best interest for me but instead just saw me as a useful extension of themselves to be used as a tool.
Also, they were very difficult to communicate with since their views & opinions kept...
On the Auction's website, it states that Dusty's Widow will donate a portion of the proceeds to the nonprofit group Musicares:
'They offer preventive care, recovery programs, and support the health and welfare of the music community.'
We have a gas Navian in a newly built house. We can have 2 showers & washer going and it holds up fine. The temp is set at 120°.
Just remember to perform regular maintainence on it. Or they can do service it too- it is worth it.
Are you going into amp/cab or DI to FOH?
If FOH, maybe they are adding extra compression?
Also, I see you have a Broughton HP filter.
Maybe that and the compressor is too much.
1. I would think that the acoustics in a subway are not as pleasing as a concert hall. So the full effect of the playing might have been lost.
2. How noisy/busy was that subway where he played?
3. The passerbys were probably focused on their next destination. Also, they might not have had alot...
