Here's my car analogies... 1970 Ford Bronco stock suspension = Old stock Fender Prescision. All over the road, imprecise, but fun. 1985 Porsche 911 stock suspension = AB2 Walnut. Not as tight as a race car, but thrilling on the right roads... ;)

This may be of no help whatsoever, but throwing this out just because it is similar. I was developing a slight buzz at the 13th fret of the G string on my AB2-5 a couple of years ago. There was no change in setup, and this bass has been extremely stable since it was built. I was baffled...

My AB2 was built for me in 2010, and it's as perfect today as it was the day I received it. Absolutely amazing instrument... nothing else can come close to a custom Dingwall in my experience.

I totally agree! I am using Sadowski flats on my 78 Precision and they are fabulous. Best strings I have ever played on this bass. Expensive, but worth the price if you want to hear what a Precision really should sound like...

Similar experience for me. I rarely play my Precision anymore... only when the assignment calls for it. But when I do, it takes a good bit of warmup to get my hands back on it. Like going from a Porsche to a 1973 Ford Bronco... ;)

I had my luthier polish it and true up the frets a few years ago. It has its scars, but only I know where they are... ;)
