I was fortunate enough to get to see them in 1973.Another vote here for early Mahavishnu Orchestra; I was fortunate to be in a band in my late college years that was a combination straight ahead jazz and fusion band, and we covered a lot of stuff from Mahavishnu. Hard stuff to learn, but worthwhile. 45 years later, still probably was the best band with the most talent that I’ve ever been part of.
