2013 Ampeg V-4B 100W Reissue Pt2

They do not. The cups are perfect for the head, but aren't positioned at the four corners for stacking cabs. I have two of the 112's, it's just rubber feet on tolex and use your eyeballs.

I have two of the Ampeg PF115LF's. The original position of those feet were sitting on the tolex of the bottom cab when stacked. I decided to pull the bottom screws from the metal corners and relocate the feet into those holes - then I put the corner screw into the original foot holes for safe keeping. Now most of the weight is on the metal rather then the tolex and it is totally reversible as I made no new holes.

Hey cheesewiz what's goin on with your amp? Have you received your replacement yet?

Still waiting for it. It wasn't shipped for a few days, and now it seems its on a slow UPS boat. It was scheduled for delivery this coming Tuesday, but now there is evidently an exception to that so in short, I have no idea when I will see it.
I'm definitely getting a bit discouraged. I paid for a new V4B three weeks ago and still don't have one. It can't be helped I guess.

I am LIVID. All Ampeg will do is tell me to take it to an authorized service center, over two hours away, to see what is wrong with the amp. After 10 more minutes of bitching, they agreed to send me a UPS label so they could pick up the shipping to the service center. I wanted to just return BOTH dead heads I have, and they would not permit that. I am PISSED. I paid for a brand new head and I've now been sent 3 dead ones. I'm gonna call Sweetwater and see if they can do anything. I don't think I even want this amp any more. Dammit.

Yes, it shipped direct from Ampeg. Took 7 days to get here. It apparently wasn't tested. The box was not opened and it was sealed in the factory plastic, etc. It probably hasn't touched human hands since it left China. My Sweetwater Rep was very understanding and said he'll take this up the chain and get back with me and see what they can do.

Reminds me of the early days of the PF-500 fiasco where you'd have people with shorted amps getting replacements that died as well, and others (like me, knock on wood) who got one that worked from the get go.

Is there any local store that stocks these amps? I know my local GC has one, but I don't know what's around you. If you can find one locally that works in store I'd see about getting a refund and buying that amp since you know it works.

I bout the 212AV because I needed a smaller cab for my SVT Classic. But other than that I would never buy anything from China that I need to trust on stage. When it comes to music instruments I only stick with American made because anytime I go outside of the country the gear fails me at some point. I would be pissed if I were you too and demand they take them all back. That's just wrong what they are doing to you.

You realize that your American made gear is full of Chinese parts right? It's an issue of QC, not an issue of country of origin.

Received my replacement. Third try. Third dead amp:rollno::rage: I'm starting to get pissed. On hold with Loud right now.

Damn, super disappointing. I've been having reoccurring problems with my Mesa Prodigy and have been considering taking it back in exchange for a new V4B because I've really been loving the tone of my V4BH, but after reading your experience with the new ones I think I'm gonna pass honestly. The only thing more frustrating then having your gear crap out on you at practice is having it not work right out of the box. 3 times. Really sorry man, hopefully you find and get a good working amp but I think I'll stick to the classic amps that have proven track records from now on...
