Well, the amp sold. Shipped it out to a happy new owner this morning. I'll miss it. I'm using a little of the proceeds to by used VT bass and BDDI pedals to try to capture some of that warmth that I'll miss. I'll try both out and keep the one that makes me the happiest. I used to have a BDDI and liked it quite a bit. I hear the VT is even better. We'll see.

I'll hopefully have an all-tube rig again in the future, when it's more financially responsible for me to do so.

Cheers,
Liam

Thanks for the deal Liam. I feel bad that it didn't work out for you but it is going to a very good home and will be in a studio environment surrounded by lots of vintage Ampegs and Olivers.

I'm hoping for greatness with this little amp. It's first test will be on the Heritage 810 against the early 70's SVT. Then we will see what it can do on a pair of 210AV's.

Hey, Carl! You're very welcome. Yeah, one of the things that makes me feel a little better about my misadventure is that someone who will give it a good home got a great deal. Anxious to hear what you think of it when it arrives. :)

Cheers,
Liam

I ran a V4B with SVT810 cab for 10 years of club work back in the mid 70's - mid 80's. I still say it's the best tone I've ever gotten from an amp setup. I'm sure you'll love it Apex!

Me too! And an occasional flatbed in someone's backyard, too ;)

I got to gig with V4 B last night . Stage volume only got to work it through 4x10 . I can only imagine how good a 8x10 would sound . Just over 2 weeks with new head . Kind of curious are they only 100 watts ? I did a song in drop D with my p bass usually use a jazz @ I did not want to put p bass down .
