Had a saturn pedal the other day I "re-labeled" because it had ink pen for labels.. lol
Grabbed a B-stock Octabvre MKIII. I've already got a Tim-tuned MKI that I love and may prefer in terms of enclosure format but if I can make the MKIII work that means I'll free up enough room on my board to replace my Tech 21 Q Strip with a Broughton Messenger which would be more appropriate for my needs. If it doesn't work out I'll sell it here for the same price I paid through the shop. If it does work out I'll put my Tim-tuned MKI up for sale here in the classifieds at a non-ripoff price.
Thanks 3Leaf thread. Of all the Protons, v4 held the most interest. Now I’ll finally see what’s up with that.
All I hope is that the B-Stocks are like slight issues and not missing the full Triangle on the Octabvre or multiple letters from Doom.
I loved my V3, so I’m really looking forward to finally getting to try the v4.
My guess is that the B stock, like the flawed A stock that preceded it, will be vulnerable to losing all the artwork rather than knackered right out of the door. But if you are worried, surely Spencer is the only person who can answer.
If anyone bought and subsequently flips their Doom 2, feel free to PM me. Been looking and missing out for quite a while and was late seeing this tonight. Thanks.

I thought about a Doom 2 to replace my original as the low end blend will just work better for me, but I'm at my pedal budget for a while. And now there are another 4 or 5 floating around Talkbass anyway, with what seems like a promise for more in a new enclosure soon anyway. Very exciting and I'm so pleased the company isn't shuttered like we thought it might be.
Only 2 octaves, and 19 combined protons left (14 new) at the time of this message. If you want a mk3, nows the time. Who knows when they will be back

Thanks for the heads up! Grabbed a Octabvre mkiii to replace the one I stupidly sold and finally get to try a proton 4 at non insane prices. Thank God for overtime haha!
Well -- Somehow I have managed to show incredible restraint. It was difficult and trying but I persevered.....
Yeah, I wanted to buy a Proton, and anything else for "collector sake" (seriously, who knows when more will be out, these on the site could be returns or something previous on hold with these "online retailers" he doesn't want to deal with), but I have what I want, and others would benefit better.
Plus there's a really rad limiter I want built, that my money could toward

I was going to get the Doom2 instead of the Octabver, but I figured I would try my luck and get that in the new enclosure down the road.
