3Leaf Audio Club - Episode 2

Lol
We all know this won’t sell

...why? It's already in my cart.
A 15% discount and a $5.95 shipping looks like a great deal.

Don’t worry too much lads.
There will be 200 more to come in the upcoming months. Patience !

But still released in 50qty a.m./p.m. releases that are next to impossible to get even with autofill. :meh:

After a little more thought last night, why not release the 100qty batch at once? That way at least [Person A] and [Person B] both get at least a bit better chance to get one, instead of [Person B] now getting two more chances to get another one the next wave. (Unless Spencer is watching for the same people in both releases... which I'm a bit skeptical of.) It wouldn't make any difference on Spencer's end other than having them sell out in a minute instead of 30 seconds, and a 1/3 showing up on Reverb anyway. lol

I'll be curious to see how many $1k red Doom 2s we see on the 'Verb when they get into people's hands. ;);)

5sg.

Just post the dates, not the times, or even pre-sale?. Obviously ways around both. With multiple drops is it possible for one flipper to buy one and then another?

Guessing the ratio to profiteers will only show until everyone gets there's.

This is where having a dealer(s) could help

One reason that comes to mind is that if, for instance, you happen to work or are busy with family during the early release, then you’d have another chance at the later release—granted, you’d have to stay up late (especially if on the East coast), but it’s another chance nonetheless.

All it would take is two emails/2 address, which isn't impossible, or hard. It's a fickle thing. So many directions to go, I honestly forgot about the 2nd wave, and was up lol... doing family stuff.

All I know is, my Chromatron isn't going anywhere. I couldn't imagine that drop..

I get the multiple chances thing, totally. But the point I'm trying to make is the same as @labeledbass. Multiple drops means multiple opportunities for one flipper to make a profit off Spencer's work.

I've worked with some e-commerce sites that set up "members", paid or not, have emails and addresses already established similar to IEs stuff. If the builder wants, can also verify via talkbass or reverb for example, that you're one of the "good ones", but then again, those aren't perfect either.

It would be a login, everyone has the same point of entry, and payment is already setup/verified

Because of time zones.

Luckily enough, 11am PST is 8pm CET and 11PM PST is 8am CET. Both times suit Europeans (respectively 7pm and 7 am for the UK)

But look at Asia… that’s the best way to give everyone the same chance to get one wherever they live. No one was left aside with those selected times.

Well thought.

Missed out on both as well :/

First round, I took my time to ensure I had entered all my information correctly, assuming the cart will keep my order for a fixed amount of time before checking out. Opps..... not the case here.

2nd round, I had everything ready to go, and I honestly think it took me less than 20 secs to enter all the info. But then due to my unsuccessful order still present in the cart, I ended having 2 at check out. I wasn't able to remove it, so yeah, no luck this time.

Update from last night, I wonder where these 9 unit will be going to....

I think a special order for loyal fans in Talkbass would be great, only accessible from a special link that is posted to this thread. Keep the scalpers and bots out a little more and still sure to sell out.

I would say Instagram as well, but that's a bit more public and watched closer by scalpers.

Do you consider TB as a scalpers free place ?
Genuine question. Not trolling lol

3 Leaf has been around for like 13 or 15 years? He’s getting paid today for all the unpaid development time and efforts spent in the brand through the years.
Exactly. This only happened because of the reputation for quality products Spencer has already cultivated.

I bet he is. It's only 100 total. Not hard to notice the same name or address twice. (As labeledbass said, there are ways around that. But that's not Spencer's fault. With the double drop he was aiming for accessibility because of time zone differences. There's always some trade-off. But our fellow bassists in the eastern hemisphere benefited.)

This is encouraging! It shows Spencer recognizes some of the problems in the system. Now he can (hopefully) take steps to remedy them for the next drop.

I don't see this happening. If Spencer had any goodwill left toward TalkBass he would be active in this thread. Instead he hasn't logged on since December 9, 2015.

Your username could be verified, and I've seen brands with small discounts/availability for talkbass users only, but scalpers go through alot of trouble sometimes, and Spencer isn't very fond of this place already. It would almost need to be a word of mouth thing, but then it gets too secret society.

I'm glad I at least tried the reg Doom x/2 in the past. Feel for people that haven't.

Spencer said he’s correcting 9 orders that bought more than one Doom 2. I think not worrying what's in your cart and finishing the purchase is more important and deleting the item in the cart. Plus, you can always message him after the fact if you need to change your order.

The questions is... When are those 9 unspoken for Doom 2's going to be for sale?

F&F lol

I can't tell you the amount of times I've had a S1 or QS in my cart, but that site obviously didn't allow for another, as well with multiples

I was lucky enough to get one in the second drop, and I'm thankful, but it's annoying that many of these pedals are inevitably going to go to scammers. I only learned of the existence of 3leaf pedals in December of last year... this has quite literally been my first chance to realistically purchase them. I wish there was some way to ensure that people who haven't had the opportunity to buy these pedals could try them, but that's not the way the world works...
