Of course people are allowed to be upset. But what does that achieve, and what does it cost?
Achieves nothing, costs you your inner peace and happiness.
I'd just point out it is a discussion forum, after all. If one cannot air grievances here, then where?
I would never expect to stifle or counter the inherent self destructive, damaging nature of humans. I simply offer an alternate way to view this, on the outside chance it strikes a chord with someone.

But it's ultimately not in the consumer's hand to implement. I also say this as someone who isn't upset (or who really cares for that matter) or a "complainer in shambles" - per post-release note.
I don't think anyone here is in true disagreement with you though, except for the more accusatory posts.
Holding things in isn't healthy either. Not that this is or should reach the level of a psychological crisis.

It can be easy to acknowledge the external obstacles we face but every one of us also contend with unknown aspects of ourselves that generate limitations & inhibit us from the actualization of our potential & as long as those things remain in the darkness of the unconscious we will be victim to them without even knowing it.

I think people complain simply because they're upset. Cause and effect. People expected a product drop, but instead were shoehorned a deal I bet not one single customer intended to buy before the newsletter went out.
Sure, most talked their way into the sale before committing, but again I'm willing to bet not a single person planned on adding a preamp to their MK3 purchase (like there would even be time to do so, if the preamp spots were even up during the sale..)
These things are getting expensive, I feel bad for the one that had the cash set aside, because the octave everyone's always raving about, or a loaned mk3 had them hooked, is coming to fruition and then got hit with this news.
It's amazing to watch how all these different individuals serve up this gear in such different ways, you could almost write a book on it

Instinctively, I would consider bundling different than tied selling.
So tying is a form of bundling, and is not necessarily illegal or fraudulent. I doubt a one off sale of 50 pedals hurts competition in the preamp market or raises any kind of antitrust concerns.
