$67 Glarry P-Bass

I'm pretty darn sure those are the exact same basses. If anyone is willing to purchase one to find out , let us know if they are the same. Might want to let Glarry know they need to be competitive with their price if that is the case.

This eBay page also sells actual Glarry instruments too like the J Bass..

If you check the rest of their eBay store, they sell the same guitars and Ukeles too (like the watermelon Uke) with Glarry's logo. In fact, this could be the parent company of Glarry?

I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on one and reporting back later. I mean, it’s only $59

I put a set of Fender 7250M strings on it (Glarry Jazz Bass) and was shocked at how much volume boost I got. At my normal settings I only needed to barely pluck and got big boom out of 'em. There is a lot of midrange boost also, for how I like it I had to scoop some mid out to get that deep "invisible" bass effect.
Everything gets boosted and it leaves me in need to reduce what I need to instead of boosting what I'd like.
Maybe not believable but true, a tremendous boost in output.

Oh yea, I forgot to add the dynamic volume boost. I could pull hard on the original strings and not get much boost, but now I am needing to adapt to a lighter touch on the "heavy" plucks. Down side is they are showing the need to trim my plucking fingernails back, when they hit a string it is very noticeable. And sounds very ugly when the monster drags it's nails over the strings.

the Glarry et al thing is ok but (NBD!) after snagging a $100 Samick Silvertone P it emphasizes the 'why bother' aspects. there's no sense in looking at iffy projects of questionable quality when you've got a stage-ready rocker for the same chump change right at hand. super light, looks cool, and heavy on the vintage tones. just another in the long line of cheaper sleepers out there. Plus $50 shipping. You can buy two Glarrys for $150 or upgrade the one you have. What are the specs on the Silvertone? What’s the neck like?

I'm going to get a Fender American Performer Jazz Bass on my GC Gear Card after I get done with my real estate stuff.
About $35/month for three years. Set up auto pay and forget about it. Pretty easy way to get that.

I found an easy way to cure the neck dive with the lead free stick on wheel weights. I need 16 oz near the rear neck strap cone. Test it out with some tape to find the amount and location needed to balance it. Then stick them on, cover with something like a black plastic notebook cover, tape that over them. It will be thin, not touching me, and a nice relief to be balanced.
About $10 for 48 1/4 oz weights on Amazon or Ebay. Tape them on as whole strips, then a partial to dial it in. Also 1/2 oz and larger, and some are black color.
Later, I might use a Dremel router to carve out some slots to put them in then use some pick guard stock to make a cover. They will need to be epoxy glued into the slots to be sure they never come loose. The tighter the fit and better the fill probably wouldn't affect the tone quality.

If you stick the wheel weights on the front of the guitar it will look like an alligator. LOL
I suppose now we will find bass bodies carved and painted to look like alligator skin.
I got an idea for an ugly cheap bass body, glue fake alligator skin on it. Or over the weights on this one , but it looks too good to cover.
I read that five and six string basses are prone to neck dive also.

Regarding the alligator covering, you wouldn't be the firstest with the mostest.

That design looks like a metallurgy quality test, not alligator.
Here's a crocodile skin guitar, but no bass found.
What music might come from this ? I crave to know.
I suppose though a bit cruel, it would need to be real crock skin else the music could sound like it came from a fake crock skin guitar LOL.

I watched a Jurassic Park movie late night and dreamt I was punching a T-Rex in the nose. I'm sure that guitar will have some effect. BTW, I loved that dream.

Getting OT here but one last poke, I found this Guitar Skins maker. The Guitar Skins Shop.

BTW an online calculator gave me a 1 lb answer for a steel plate 5x3x.25 inch to screw on with the 5 inch running vertical under the bridge. One lb works at the strap but I'm not sure how the plate would work. It needs some test fitting to be sure.
