A rare find at Guitar Center

When I opened for Leslie West in the 90s, randy was the bassist and we chatted for a few minutes. He likes and uses nice gear, that show he was sporting a Sukop. He's a very accomplished player IMO!
Kahler tremolo bridges do use up real estate. The combination of a relatively small body and a larger than average bridge will lend to that. But, it plays like melted butter.
Cookye, beautiful bass! Congrats! I remember seeing that bass hanging on the wall at the Guitar Center in Commack Long Island.
Randy Coven was my bass teacher back around '84, '85.
He's most certainly a monster player. I'm still using the lessons he taught me. Cool guy as well.

He says it doesn't but with a light body and the strap button between the 17th and 18th fret I find it hard to believe. Maybe with a 6-inch-wide suede-backed strap ...
Anyway, beautiful bass.
Definitely not atrocious,
but when I first saw it, the top looked like stained plywood to me.

That Kahler bridge probably makes a great counterweight.

Sorry if I was a little snippy. I have been getting some hate on this, which I don't get as to why.
