Well, the reverbs on the Max are essentially the same ones on the Eventide Space. I have a Max, and to be 100 percent honest, 90 percent of what I use it for are the reverbs. Probably because it's sitting on a big board with other pedals that can do similar things (mods, synths, etc). I would also say that the synths/harmonizers etc on the Max are all monophonic, and I think, at times, they track pretty crappily. The Meris Enzo tracks flawlessly (I can even play the 2 octave up setting really fast and it doesn't choke). So if you're interested in the Eventide verbs, save yourself some money and just get the Space. Honestly, if Eventide made a Blackhole pedal, I'd probably get rid of my Max and get that.
Plus, you're definitely not going to get a Max for under 300, at least I don't think you will. You could likely find a Space used for about 300.
