Here's my first Erica jam that I think is worth sharing.
It's an add9 chord based sequence in Reaktor running into the system, then into an Empress Reverb. No post production.

Nice! Modular really shines in that sort of application. Don’t forget to make patch notes!
'Twas the night before Gearmas, when all through the house
Not a plug-in was stirring, not even an IR mouse;
The patch-cables were hung by the patch-bay with care,
In hopes that Serb Nikola Tesla soon would be there;
The 500s were nestled all snug in their Lunchbox,
While rhythms of syncopation danced in their blocks;
And mamma on her drumkit, and I tempo did tap,
We just settled in for a long winter's rap,
When right on the DAW there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the iso-booth to see what was the matter.
Away to the active window I drew like a flash,
Torrents of modulation on a sample of the late great Johnny Cash.
The beat on the bridge was a fine sallen-key snow
Gave the lustre of midway neon-crackle to subs below,
When, what to my wondering ears should I hear,
But a miniature sleigh-bell, and 808 in high gear,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew from that monitor, it must be that Serb Nik.
Most rapid, the 60Hz hum of his alternating current came,
And it whistled, and buzzed, that cycle in the mains;
"Now, Filtration! now, Furman! now, Ebtech HumX and Adam Hall!
On, all power-filtration and answer my call!
To the 220 & the 110! coming out of the wall!
Now dash away! hash away! slash away all!"
As dry leaves that crackle in the campfire as they die,
When they smolder as ash without oxygen, float to the sky,
So opposite did the noise-floor drop despite the current that drew,
With the rack full of toys, and Serb Nik’s vibrations too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the root
The presence and 2nd harmonics of each little toot.
As I drew in my band, for that blessed turn-around,
Down the comp’s knee Serb Nik was lost in the sound.
It was d-essed yet all in fur, from the mic-head to the output,
And the fundamental was all tarnished with sonic ashes and soot;
to a bundle of FX I’d flung in front of the stack,
And it sounded like a great pedalboard with massive attack.
The notes — how they twinkled! The diphthongs how merry!
The peaks were like ambrosia, that rose a little hairy!
The little drum machine was started up with my toe,
And the sound of the din was as white-noise at the start of the show;
The stump of a patch-lead I held tight in my teeth,
As some magic-smoke encircled my head like a wreath;
I added a Fuzz-Face and a little EQ to the Tele,
That Doomed, so I laughed, adding vibratremolo, a sonic bowlful of jelly.
The sound was chubby and plump, with a right jolly EQ-shelf,
And I laughed when I heard it, in spite of myself;
A wink of electric-eye and a twist of this knob,
Soon gave me to know I had a track ready to throb;
To some it seems absurd, to set this up and make it all work,
And filter all the settings; then turn it on with a twerk,
But laying tracks with a tinker, to share with those
that appreciate ambiance & post-rock is a joy all here knows;
So spring to your sonics, to your dreams give a whistle,
And slave away until you’ve put down some satisfying gristle.
I’d quite like to exclaim, ere I log off and take flight,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!

Same with CDs/digital vs. vinyl and digital imaging vs. film photography. When you get perfect and clean you realize you kind of miss the grain and dirt from time to time.
I was a teenager in the 80s so it makes sense for me to still own some of my records, but the fact that people too young to remember the 90s are into it is a fascinating phenomenon. Too bad it's so hard to find decent newly made analog gear that isn't pure junk. When I was growing up awesome stuff made in Japan was everywhere, and my old Garrard record changer was my dad's in the 60s and is made in England. Who makes electronics in England anymore? Now if you want a new tape deck that's not garbage you're basically out of luck, I think there's one cheapo mechanism still being made for cassettes, and for reel to reel nada. Your only hope is to buy used, but that's getting rare and expensive as time goes on.
I still shoot black and white film and my favorite camera is a Minolta twin lens made in Japan in the late 50s.

The struggle is real. Already considering an Erica Black DSP 2 module. It’s got more ambient effects than the delay I have in my System, and it would be nice to have the effects on the rack. Of course I have plenty of plugin and pedal effects. I think it’s also 2hp wider than the delay I already have so I’d need to pull two modules to drop in this one.
I could also start a second skiff.
Either way, I expect I will get my chops busted by ugly
