Depending on the build, something like that would be closer to the $5k range MSRP. I've seen a few bikes up over $10k, but that's an uncommon price point. I mean, if you wanted an i9 wheel set you could easily break 1k just for those. Fox fork can break the 1k mark. Cane Creek rear shocks look to still be under $1k.
Back in the day, if I had $30k for a build...
Went to the luthier today (along with my style consultant aka my drummer aka my wife) to choose a body wood for my new touch guitar. Sycamore. He also had a piece of quilted maple and the sycamore is like half the weight. Also spent a stupid amount of time discussing inlay shapes. I didn’t get an updated picture of the neck, but it’s impressive. It’s like a semihollow instrument: solid on the middle and hollow on the sides, and the thing feels like it’s solid through and through. You’d never know, except it is also very light.
Built a Zoia patch with a few sounds and switching capabilities.
1. Clean Comp with a dry blend and EQ.
2. Fuzz with cab sim and a clean blend.
3. Delay.
4. Reverb.
I had to compromise a few features as it uses too much CPU to build my ideal patch. The thing I like about this is that it allows for easy swapping of effects on each page. Say I want the delay to be a tremolo or the reverb to be a chorus, the structure makes it easy to swap modules without disconnecting all the audio routing.
The fuzz sound isn’t amazing but with the delay and verb it works.

We call it a solo bass record because the bass was in the room? Maybe my speakers aren't working, but this one sounds like most of the others you have posted (little less noisy/screamy)...I didn't hear anything that sounds remotely like a bass
that seems like a pretty gratuitous and mean-spirited comment.
I had a bass or two next to me when I did this experimental/drone/noise record for FAWM (February Album Writing Month). Use headphones if you want to listen to it because there's a lot of binaural beats and stuff like that going on.

I was really excited to hear some "naked" for lack of a better word bass...I feel like UG has been talking about wanting to release something like that and I thought this was it and naming it solo bass was a bit of a knock at that...but apparently I was on Mars in my thoughts...REALLY sorry. I did listen to a significant chunk of it and dug what I heard...it was actually way more in line with what I dig, but back pedal back pedal...foot in mouth. Sorry brother, @ugly_bassplayer ...you should know that no ill malice was meant with that comment and if it was taken the wrong way, please know it was not meant in a bad way. I'll see myself out now.
Edit: and I should probably mention that it is far and away my favorite piece of music that you have shared. Like I mentioned...way in line with what I enjoy and strive to do (particularly ~8min
).

Just in case some of you are not aware of this absolutely amazing album by an equally amazing artist, sort of hard to categorize, but I guess experimental drone/ambient in the somewhat darker end of the spectrum, and with a strong element of sound art, is not an all that inaccurate description:

This video had a huge impact when it dropped. Daft Punk was never my shizzle, but they had an undeniable groove and influence.
