Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

filtatron. i have it but never found it useful.

animoog is cool. might work with your moe stuff, too.
My moe stuff? Trying to figure out what that would sound like. Ambient with slapstick sound effects?

It's been a busy couple of days but I always manage to find time for some music! Worked on this over the past couple of days:

Here's my response:

I've been pulling out my Moogerfoogers - used the MF-103 phaser and MF-104 analog delay (one of the original Big Briar run, picked mine up in Kyoto around 2003), also the Sirin on the second part. If someone wants to do something on top of my part 2 and then extend it beyond that - go for it!

Been thinking about this track that @monsterthompson started throughout the week - went back and added some distortion to and boosted the volume of the MF-104 noise (and put a hi-pass filter on it to filter out the really low rumble) - also added a track of Octavius Squeezer - just preset #00, I think it's "gobstopper"? - with a smidge of MF-104 delay - it seems to complement the phased Sirin, and when the LFO kicks in is surprisingly the same speed as the delay from my original delay trail. Happy accident? It's such a weird preset, I think the envelope affects the LFO, as the gain decreases the LFO starts or something - never figured out how to deal with this little beast...

Good news too - someone is in line to make part 3!
