Absolutely. The miniaturization craze in Euro makes no sense to me. I guess so idea of cost and space savings but you lose so much in playability.
In other news, Genzler 4 on the floor arrived. It is surprisingly mellow. I was expecting by #4 to get to some all our roar. I really like the way the pedal is set up. Just wish the gain range was bigger.
Get an Electronic Audio Experiments Longsword...really. I have four versions of this pedal! LOL. Just got the newest version with soft switches, and it's the best of the versions that I have. The builder should have a big batch of new ones coming up in the next month or so.
This video makes me want and not want this pedal. I think the mono voice and the lofi noise things aren’t for me. The hiss and grit seems like it can be defeated. I’m really driving toward pristine delays and stereo reverbs and pads.
I’m back looking at a modular effects unit. I know duke didn’t like the Erica Black Hole 2, but I’m drawn to it.

Dunno about current availability but the most interesting one to me would be the FX AID XL if you're willing to deal with a web interface. If you're WYSIWYG, stay away from that module.
Was mentioned in the reverb thread...I adore Neunaber, but their verbs all sound basically the same. I'm guessing that's a box full of similar shades of one color.

by the way, i played with a saxophonist last night who told me about a tenor *mouthpiece* that cost him $700, but is worth $1,500. (i don’t think this is unusual!)

Last one....I have no clue.
I have been "collecting" over versions of the design. They have more gain range, and are darker, which I like on bass. One is #7 of 9 I think, and has a clean blend that is amazing for bass (there may be a v2 coming of this), one is the original design which is also a bit fuzzier, one is v2 of the series, and was the last in the series that was 9volt, which gives more gain, but is still darker...and now I've just received the latest version....and in the end the latest version is 18 volts internally, which has less gain, but has more clarity and natural low end, has a revamped eq section that actually works better on bass, has silent footswitches, and has a level knob for the boost footswitch. It's just better, and I've been hesitating for a while now on trying the new version. Super glad that I did. I'll keep the old v1, the old Claymore (w/a blend knob), and I may let go of the v2, even though it was the only version with ge diodes, which are super cool...but the new version is better.
Next time you may want to ask for the abbreviated version...LOL
Sax, upright and brass territory is in the crazy expensive range.

in many ways, he’s the only one who matters.
One my of my upright teachers , @JES will definitly know who it is, was Fred Alarie.
I dont know if he still has that bass but his main was about 80 000$, yes I know nothing compared to some classical dudes.
It had a C extension and about 10 people on a waiting list to buy it.
