This is the bottom view, from the top all you would see is the heatsink, which weighs as much as the power amp module:

i didnt know Class D really needed heat sinking per say...

If you don't want to use a cooling fan it helps a lot. I'm shooting for something close to full rated power being more or less continuous, not some "fairy tale" definition. You arguably don't really need that for many bass instrument applications, but in any case it gets really hot here in the summer, and if it's worth killing it's worth overkilling.
