Feet on the 7 pro are about 13mm, or 1/2"
Do tell if the 7 pro will fit inside a PF cab...... Might be enough to make ME get one. Damn the 7 pro & 2 PF 115 cabs sounds like a great idea, especially if I could tuck the 7 pro into the cab- a'la a combo!

I'll check it out tonight.

I finally got to try a PF500 and 115 combination in a music store today. I liked it a lot. Great variety of tones, although I never cranked it up real loud in the store. I especially liked it with the gain at about 3 o'clock. :) Another 15 would be even better.

This probably has been addressed somewhere in this long two part thread, but my one question for people who have this setup is: how easy or awkward is it to carry with that one top handle with the amp inside the cab? I picked up the cab and it felt just a little awkward, and that was without the extra weight of the head. Also, with one handle, the carry is usually at your side, and I end up banging it into doorways, barstools, whatever. I'm concerned about the tolex and grille cloth.

Might be the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger.
Anyone with experience carrying one of these around?

I've got a 64 B-15, which is the same size cab as the PF 115 and 210. It's a piece of cake to move without side handles, and the PF cab would be a lot easier IMHO. The latches and top handle are a lot sturdier than the original's, it comes with casters to roll, and you can bear hug it easily if you need to deadlift it.

As an owner and regular gigger with this cab I'd say:
1). Don't let that scare you off. The pf 115 is a good bit lighter than a B15, even with a pf500 attached to the lid. It's not hard to maneuver.
2). I will be adding side handles to mine: 2 handles just like the top handle (like the way the B15R is set up). I have a bad back and side handles allow me to pick it up by just bending my knees, keeping my arms fully extended without bending over. Maybe cost me $25? Worth it.

BTW my '66 B15 had side handles (B18 style) installed before I got it and I love 'em. Sure you can bear hug them, but why hurt your back?

Thanks for the input on the ease of carry. I've had back surgery and I probably need shoulder surgery (just don't want to go to the doc and hear him say that) so I'm trying to be careful. I use a handtruck/dolly if I need to move anything a long distance. Sometimes that just doesn't work loading in and out of places.

Thx Tom...I'm pretty blown away as you might imagine! My first act was to buy a PF350/115he, and a BA108 for my little Sunday upright jazz gig. Joke's on them, though...I was planning to get all that stuff anyway after playing the same PF rig earlier this week ;)

Is anyone having problems with the tolex lifting up? I've noticed that some of the seams are starting to lift/loosen, particularly on the top panel with the amp. Should I just get some tolex glue and re-stick it?

Popped the lid this morning on my PF115 cabinet, four, triangle strips of tolex hanging down.
I Elmer Wood glued em'!!! :smug:

(Still waiting on Ampeg to send me another new PF500 head...in the mean time...my GK MB2-500 sounds pretty darn good through the PF115!)
