Annoying things that tipsy people do at gigs...

My favorite is a patron wanting to play my bass (or guitar in the past). "Let me play _____ song, man!" Proceeds to get on the stage and tells me to give him the instrument. I can see fist-a-cuffs happening eventually.

That is the worst, I don't care if you think you're better then me, get your own gig! And don't touch my bass!

I'm really annoyed with the Freebird guy.
He must be magical, because he's at everyone's gigs.

Funny but when I played in a Skynard Tribute, nobody called FREEBIRD!
I am using that line the next time someone asks us to play "Roadhouse Blues"!

Yea, I had a woman tell me to turn my bass down because it was causing her beer to go flat...Really? I wanted to tell her she wasn't drinking it fast enough, but I too the high road.

in my last band we used to play at this place once a month and always got a good crowd.... most times there were regulars that would come and there was one young guy with his mates who was always drunk.... he always came up to the stage and smiled at our singer (I'm pretty sure he had a crush on her).... occasionally he would grab the singers tambourine or maracas and wander into the crowd, but he'd always give them back.

One time he came up on to the stage as we were singing 500 Miles (The Proclaimers) and took the singers mic off the stand, but luckily the drummer quickly pressed 'mute' on singers mic channel on the desk and sang the song as he always does.... the drunk guy kept singing into singers mic - even though no-one could hear him.

Hilarious! And a smart move by the drummer!

Just out of curiosity, I know men and women have different social rules, is it a case of simply wondering about your hair? Judging by your photo your hair is perfect. Maybe they think it's a wig and are too embarrassed to ask. It's easier just to test it by touching it.
Lol maybe? I have been asked if I have a wig on from time to time so who knows...maybe that is the reason some grab at it lol...

@donkeygrl your hair is absolutley awesome. IF i had hair like that I would be a rock star instead of a bar room band monkey!
:):hyper::hyper:
My guitarist once handed our setlist to some drunk girl in the audience and wanted her to pick a song. Why he thought that was a good idea i will never understand.
OF course the predictable outcome she wanted us to do something that was not on there. Then got upset and started yelling at us -this in the middle of a set that was rolling pretty good. put a complete stop on the vibe. He still attempts to do this sometimes. I will absolutley shut him down when he tries....

View attachment 3188804 I am pretty easy going and don’t even mind hugs from the occasional drunk guy but lately for whatever reason girls have started coming up to me on breaks and while complimenting the band they start playing with my hair ...it’s happened several times as of late and frankly it’s kinda creepy lol...I think I may take breaks away from the crowd for awhile ;-)
(Inserted pic for reference lol) What do you find annoying?

You are a lovely young lady.

Long ago, I was playing a wedding reception and the classic "black sheep of the family" drunk uncle got up on the bandstand and told us to play Chuck Berry's "My Ding-a-Ling" ("I want to play with my ding-a-ling..."). He proceeded to commandeer a mic and belt out the song. We were a bit appalled, and after a chorus or two, the bride ran up and dragged him away.

I'm truly amazed I've never lost any teeth from getting my mic stand slammed into my face over the years. That's the most consistent annoying that happens to me personally.

Ouch! The last time that happened to me the miscreant in question also managed to break the mic stand, shearing it right off at the threading into the stand base. Which then proceeded to put a couple of dandy gouges in my fairly uptown bass, besides propelling the mic into my teeth pretty hard. This, during a solo bass set at a very low key open mic. Her dancing routine was actually quite entertaining up until that point.
