Is it me or are there a LOT of basses going up on the classifieds right now?
At some of those prices, I'm tempted to list mine too!

It's not just you. From 2 days ago:Is it me or are there a LOT of basses going up on the classifieds right now?
I am seeing a marked upswing in "mid to high end" instruments in the (eBay Germany) want ads. Most are priced in the upper end of their ranges.
But!
I expect those prices to go down significantly as weeks of no gigs take their toll on the weekend warriors who aren't working during the week anymore.
Who thinks significant the gigs, now it's the main home training. It's not just you. From 2 days ago:
I just bought a brand new bass. I got a great deal. American original P bass. They go for $1950 new. I got mine for $1680 shipped. Not bad. I definitely think smaller shops are feeling the squeeze. The reason I ask is that I have GAS. I think the economy is about to TANK. Anyone holding out on buying a bass?
On the other end, I’m trying to sell a bass also. A beautiful fretless 1998 stingray. I have it down to $1400 shipped here on TB. I’m amazed no one has bought it yet. I can’t go lower but I also don’t mind keeping it for now. Fortunately I still have my job. But someone will get a great deal. I guess fellow members on here are feeling the squeeze too unfortunately.I just bought a brand new bass. I got a great deal. American original P bass. They go for $1950 new. Hmm. Dunno how much you’d want to get wrapped in somebody else’s issues. A few years ago, I picked a late 90s Precision for a very decent price because I wanted to toy with a P bass During my meeting with the seller I learned inadvertently that he was helping his mom out with money. He really liked the instrument too. His only one, mind you. Ok ok. I’m thinking, what should I do? So, I gave him my number and the option of buying it back within 4 months at the same price. Actually, he called back in 5 months! Lol! With the cash. Yeah, I sold it back to him. Ironically, it worked out well for of both us cause then I needed the cash.
I'm still waiting for a $2k Marleaux Contra 6![]()
Seen it before. Didn't pull the trigger. Then again I got my NAMM Show Marleaux Jazz for $1,200 used.
Pawn Shop on the good side of townSo, you need to unload that '05 American Precision for $500 *tonight* and don't have a PP account. Where do you go?
