I need more SB's!! :D

very nice. These are the only SB1000 reissues that have been imported to the US. The John Taylor SB1000 and the reissue aren't going to be imported at this time. If anyone wants a new Cliff Burton SB1000 like this one they have a couple left at Grand Central Music in Duluth, MN for about $1900US their phone number is (800) 600 5106.

Hey! I have currantly 5 Aria basses! In order of procurement: STB P/J (Korea, late 90's) , Tele Copy (Japan early 70's), SG copy (Japan early 70's), EB-2 copy (Japan late 60's) and my newest Aria! An Aria Pro II SB-900 from 1980! The SB RULES! Fabulous to look at, an effort to heft, a dream to play, and sounds of nirvana! I am just figuring out what all the knobs and switchs do, but I can get thin frail bass sounds to WAY thick and DEEP sounds from it! What can I say except Matsumoku is (was) a master bass designer! Beautiful bass sounds drip out of my pre Fender SWR Working Mans 10! Every other bass player I know who has touched this bass says 2 things, 1. This bass is HEAVY! and 2. This Bass Rules! I am so happy that I can hardly contain it! I love the neck, the heft, the looks and the sound of this masterpiece! Now I just gotta learn to play better to deserve this Bass! But it is MINE! I really LOVE THIS BASS!

wow that SB is a beauty. :) how's the STB p/j?

I love my P/J STB! Made in Korea, But I LOVE THIS THING! I first got into Aria because my friend Miranda had this Aria Avante from an old boyfriend. I LOVED THE NECK! Then I dicovered EvilBay! I will soon own 6 Arias! Consider me a believer! The STB is a dream to play and angelic to hear! But My SB! Darn!!!!!! From the lips of JAH Himself! Of All my Aria's I think that I couldn't part with three; SB-900, Tele Copy, and STB! PEACE!!!

Hello- I'm new to this forum, and Aria's, and I need some help. I just received an 80's Aria Pro II RSB Standard I got on eBay. Natural Ash w/ maple board and P p/u. It is in like new condition, seriously, still bits of plastic covering stuck to the white pickguard. Here's my first question-where is the serial # on these? I want to date it, the neckplate just says Japan, nothing on the fretboard or the back of the headstock.
Does anyone have one of these Standards ? I'll post a pic as soon as I can. Thanks!

Greetings & welcome to the club.

The S/N usually lives on the neckplate. I'm intrigued by the presence of a pickguard, mine (1983 version) doesn't have one. I'm going to guess & say it could be a very late one when production was about to be switched to Korea. Photos are a must, I feel.

Pete.
