Nirvana. Yup, I said it.
Yes, the music of the 80's had turned into copy-cats and lame wannabes. But that's no excuse to get even lazier. And then to bitch about it and blow your head off when you get famous?!?!
Gimme a break. Sign me to a multi-million dollar record deal. Give it to someone that wants it.
Ok, I'm done.
Oh yeah. And Katy Perry. I mean, really.
Katy Perry. Boobs. Women with boobs can be meaner than a dog pooping tacks and still have men fighting over them!
Nirvana came about because of the extremely polished music and extreme amounts of copy cat acts. All genres have their day in the sun, but the overplay brought it down.
I'm disappointed that the whole less-is-more thing still lingers.
to the guy who said the White Stripes, I have to agree that Meg White is probably the worst excuse for a musician that I have ever heard, but that is not the point...Jack White is an amazingly inventive guitarist and I also like his voice. Meg was just there for laughs.
How was he inventive? As an older guy, it just seems that guys like Cobain and Jack White are popular because it's easy to identify with them, which was because the stuff was very easy to play.
