Bass Beauty Pageant

For G Bass North

Twist my arm.

OK, OK, OK ouch....that hurts.....

Here ya go, I was kind of going for this butterscotch weathered original from the Fender Archives:

Came up with this:

Sorry it doesn't look like it was dragged behind a tow truck, but keen observation will reveal the one up top doesn't either.

:D

I'm not sure who built it (I want to say his TB user name was Dark something?) but it was a Bo Didley style homebuilt rectangle bass made from an old sign with a belt buckle for a tailpiece. It was his TB avatar for awhile. Wish I could find it. I think he lived/gigged in the Nashville area. Anyone? Would love to see a photo of that bass again. It was too cool.

Not to get too off topic, but I really like the new TB website! I didn't like it at first, but now I know how to get around. What I especially like is the fact that the email notifications I get include the text and pics of the new post I'm being alerted about, so I can choose to open it up or just look in email.

I still find this to be one of the most unique, beautifull basses I've ever seen. That paint scheme is sick.
Thanks! Its not only beautiful, but sounds great. Since having it, I've sold off all except one 4-string Jazz that has sentimental value. This bass is for all intents and purposes my 'single' bass.
