Bass Happiness Is...

...providing a carpet of confidence for the other members of the band
- Re-stringing a bass.
- Putting that last screw back on after swapping the pickups, plucking that string and hearing that IT WORKED!

- Havin a tight groove with the drummer (after a drink or 2, it's nirvana lol)
- Being on stage and looking up to see a large majority of the people we're playing for dancing their asses off, having a good time to our music
- Playing a bass that's adjusted JUST RIGHT. It melts into your hands and playing becomes less of a thought process and more of a bond (cheesy, but true)
- Getting home with new equipment of any kind (new bass, pedals, strings, picks, anything at all)
- Being on stage and looking up to see a large majority of the people we're playing for dancing their asses off, having a good time to our music

Haaa @ the new pickups. I just installed new pickups on my PBass for the first time ever, so I can definitely relate to that one lol.
Choosing the perfect combination of Amp/cab/bass for a gig or venue and being able to dial in the perfect tone.
Playing with a bunch of musicians that are just good enough to inspire me but not so good that they want to kick me out.
Plucking a string on my newly unlined six string fretless and hearing "Mwaaaaah"
Or when I took my Seven string Wolf bass in to G.C. and having people ask me "What is that"?Where did you get that?

For me bass happiness is playing music with my daughters.
Last week, i had my ultimate bass happiness where i got to play with two of the best musicians I've ever met (their regular bass player couldn't make it down here to the snowfields) and on one song we also had my daughters on stage as well.

...realistically thinking your current basses might have actually cured G.A.S. My Peaveys kill everything.
Coming back from a long trip, totally missing playing the bass, then picking up all your basses one by one, playing your favorite songs, and seeing you haven't lost your chops!
Bass happiness is a cheap bass play better comfort and tone great as expensive model.
