GC, paragraphs, ADHD, whatever. It's still a pretty bass. Looks like it's made of pure caramel.

. Again my apology for my grammar and such. But I am not going saying I am sorry for adhd I am 65 when I was a kid I was told I was stupid got my ass beat, they thought I was just a bad kid. Got me into more fights then you can believe. If you don't want me in here just say so and I will leave. I was in a accident is why the seizure meds, so what can I say. If you are good at grammar and all that. then just think the good lord. I am tired of explaining. Thank God my wife is a nurse she understands.
I am an older fellow that distinctly remembers the time that customer service was ingrained in American business. I run my business that way. This isn't the first message I have read on here about nightmarish experiences purchasing instruments. I get it... That guitar was absolutely gorgeous and spoke to him... That is destined to be "his" instrument...... I'll just say this. I am betting the corporate moguls at the store and those at Fender would have guys heads on a platter for this absolute travesty of an experience. An instrument purchase should be a happy experience..... I only offer this. I believe the pen is mightier than the sword and understand the writer has medical issues.... Dictate letters via wife, daughter or whomever can offer the most businesslike document. Send them certified to every CEO, CFO, Manager with the store as well as the manufacturer. Don't accept anything less than what you expect for your heard earned dollars.... God bless you for your work in your church and best of luck to you my friend.
Can I get an amen???
I run my business the same way...
Also.. CS is a huge reason I buy from and play the brands I do...
Forget.. " its all about da bass"...."... It's all about the CS"
Hey, don't worry about it. I'm a news reporter and a grammar Nazi, but I've learned to chill out since buying a damned iPhone and having it massacre everything I write. Your message got through. That's all communications is about.

I have a droid and the doggone auto correct is a major issue.... Sometimes it creates since rather amusing word combos though...![]()
It's a nightmare, alright. Sure doesn't look like a double bass! Try the BG side of the house. Reported to mods.
Shoulda bought a Sire...
Is there any chance they can ship a new one to the shop, swap out the guts, and take care of the issue that way? I can see why you want to keep the particular bass that you have. It's a beauty. And a big +1 to the posters who advised you to start hounding the corporate offices.3 months ago I bought me a Fender Okoume Jazz bass. I like it because the one I got had a unusual wood grain, and I suppose most of you are familiar with the bass are have already read about them. 3 band eq Noiseless pickups. Anyway I played it twice at church and the preamp went out I was told. I could send it back get another one, but I don't really care for the grain of the wood on these bass guitars. Except this one is cool I think, I want it cause its a little different. Anyway the nightmare, I took it to Guitar Center in Round Rock Texas, the close Fender authorize tech to me according to Fender. Right off the bat GC wanted to sell me a different system. I said nope cause the Fender is a warranty deal and a freebie, I am retired and on a fix income. Anyway they had the bass for over a month, said they were waiting on Fender. I called Fender they said they were not contacted by them. I feel they were thinking I would give up and pay for another system. Also the young tech they had him and his dad both have done work for me. Both done very good work for me, dad retired are something and son took over. He himself a very good bass player. When I asked him about my bass acted like didn't want to talk, said GC order the part. He quit GC a couple days later, they had another tech few days later. But I guess this one is not a Fender authorize tech. I was just going to go get my bass, but Fender won't sale me the part if I put it in myself if voids the warranty. I called GC told they had lied to me maybe cause I talk to a real person from Fender. They said know one was contacted at Fender, so I am on the phone telling GC I fell like they think this old man is just going to give in and pay for a new system. They got the wrong GC they told me about 10:30 am. couple hours later I get a call from Round Rock GC, they have sent my bass to San Antonio. There is a Fender authorize tech there, 3 or 4 hrs from me but they are paying everything. Then I get a call from them the part is on back order they can't get it the middle of march. Today at noon I will be on the phone with Fender to check out their story. But they are the closet place I like the bass, and I didn't want to send it back to Waldorf MD. I played the bass 2 Sundays and loved it. Thank God I have my old Frankenstein fretless P. My wife said I am like an old Bull Dog, I said maybe but I am 65 yrs old and I still believe in integrity. And some stores lack it. This a Picture of it from the store.View attachment 796339
His responses are borderline trollish at times. I don't think he was serious. So how is the customer service on a bass with no local dealers from a company based in one part of Asia but with their facilities in another part of Asia?
Aye and some day IF they be VERY LUCKY and keep waking up and breathing, the negative remark makers will be in their 60's too. If they're EVEN MORE LUCKY, they won't have arthritis or terminal illness or other maladies and actually still be able to play bass. Then again, maybe they won't have so much luck.I can't believe some of the negative remarks here to a 65 year old with a condition. This kind of cr@p should not be tolerated by the TB community....to the OP I hope your situation improves, I just bought a bass while out of town on business I'm hoping they ship it soon and I don't end up in a situation like yours.
