Bass or sex?

i did notice that there weren't any posts in this thread from female bass players - i wonder if thinking of bass with this kind of "affection" is a guy thing?

Not at all. I love my bass with all my heart and soul, and I would gladly give up ANY sexual relations to play the bass. For me, playig the bass gives me a pleasure beyond anything sexual pleasures can give me.

Also, it doesn't say that if I chose sex, that I couldn't just play "downtuned electric precision cello". Loopholes. Also, bagpipes.

I was just going to grab a guitar, snip off the B & e strings, and use a nice octave pedal.

My girlfriend wouldnt be too happy if I chose the bass over the sweet sweet lovin' she gives me. Then again, my girl would never make me choose one or the other. But, if put in a deathmatch, I have to say, the lovin' would prevail.

Same here. My lady would never make me choose between her and bass, she'd be very sad if I stopped playing. But, as long as loopholes are open, I would choose the sweet lovin. Now, if it were between sex and all music in general, it would be quite different.

I wouldn't want to just switch to guitar with an octave pedal. It's just too dinky. I'm not that big a guy, but guitars always feel too tiny in my hands.
