I am a beard-challenged bassist, but if I could grow that on my face I would. It is just delightful. And, while you have more of a starfish than cephalopod thing going on, this was what first popped into mind:

I've briefly grown a beard many years ago, but the wife took has a completely irrational and deep-seated dislike for them, so sadly I've abandoned the idea (unless I outlive her, then I'm never shaving again!)

Like so many, I started growing the full chin shrubbery during the pandemic and just decided to go with it for awhile. Not sure how long I'll keep it but have no plans right now to shave it off.
