Best Female Singing Voice

All of the female singers listed here are very close to our hearts and when the radio blesses us with one up goes the volume.
The best female voice I feel ( yes I am biased) is my Aunt Elizabeth.
Best way to describe her voice is a gift.

I see a lot of names of singers that I like a lot, but which I never in a million years name as "the best". I'm a sucker for contralto, so my vote goes for Karen Carpenter, hands down. A close second would be Julie London, a far less known singer for our generation (her career peaked in the 50s and the 60s).
