I like my J basses a little downsized. The original style looks a bit overweight to me and I'm not a large guy.

Sadowsky's dimensions seem about right, and so do the ones on my Valenti J5:

I'm pretty partial to my Peavey Dyna-Bass. It is 25 years old this year and is still the best playing bass I've ever played. And it is still beautiful. Some time this year, it will be leaving our church to rest at home, replaced by a new custom bass a friend of mine is building.

Agree about matching headstock tho.. speaking of that I forget to attach this @thebrian bass I like. He has many excellent basses, but this one stands out I think...

That is a beautiful J! Good call on that finish - perfect w/the aged maple neck! It's like a yellow Antiqua. Is it a satin finish?
