best pickguard for a black p bass...

Black for a maple board (Roger Waters, anyone? ), red tort for a rosewood board.

Anything goes with black, but those black pearl pickguards look great. I might eventually do that for my Jaguar.

If it is a maple board nothing looks better than a 3-ply BWB guard. Tort of black 3-ply with a maple fret board.


Of course I put black guards on everything for whatever that is worth.
