I have CD upon CD of stuff that would make Zappa blush from between songs at rehearsal. My guitarist likes to record them.
I'd like to hear them come in after a four-count and go right into 3/4, that would be different! Not doubting that they would do just that, of course. I play with a woman who always comes in two beats early on one of our song's intros. She does it every time. We all just gave up and went with it. Easier for all of us to change than her. Besides, if you make the same mistake more than twice, it becomes part of the arrangement.Drummer in another band goes to count off the beginning of a song - that is in 3/4 time ("Can't Change Me" by Chris Cornell) - and goes "One, two, three, FOUR". I protest and get this look like I am being silly. Someone else in the band says (about me) - "Oh he's kinda funny about stuff like that"...

He knew it was coming, so a good face saving move, and everyone is happy.New guitarist- who just quit via Email-"I'm looking for something different".
What a coincidence- WE wanted someone who could actually PLAY rhythm!
Now see, you need to be more explicit in your ads. Did you specify "must be able to play rythmn guitar"? Be more reasonable in your expectations.New guitarist- who just quit via Email-"I'm looking for something different".

After a few bung notes, the Keyboardist said "you're never more than a semitone away from a note that works".
No, I bailed. I didn't want to be the bad guy, but that gig would have been a disaster.Did you actually do the gigs?
...
She usually performs solo, playing acoustic guitar and singing, but she'd like to have a band.

Did the guitarist do the gig with her?No, I bailed. I didn't want to be the bad guy, but that gig would have been a disaster.
