Which did you look up. The 3012lf is a champ.

I don't have any numbers either but my guess is four of those 112 might put out a minimally acceptable compliment of sub bass thump to go with 8x8.May I suggest that you just don't have enough rig for the gig?
The math is pretty simple actually... Knowing the SPL sensitivity at 1 watt/1meter at the lowest frequency you intend to reproduce, then extrapolate to the safe power handling of the speaker (using the RMS or continuous rating, not the program or peak rating) if the resulting number is less than your needed SPL at whatever distance you need it at then you do not have enough rig to accomplish what you hope.
These are exactly the calculations used when determining how much PA is needed in a touring rig to get the job done acceptably.
I suspect that you are WAY off in the ability of any 112 to meet your needs.

I saw a pic on here and he had it all figured out. A 410 with a 210 ontop and another 210 on that. SO he has the ability to: 210, 410, 610 and 810 for whatever size gig and look good while doing it. Plus 210 X2 or 410x2 in stereo.Not at all. I've stated multiple times that if the excursions are equal, the larger driver will ALWAYS be louder with better bass response.
By the same token, what you gain in bass response, you lose in transient response because smaller speakers have a higher transient attack.
There's a reason that subwoofers are large, and tweeters are small.
And from sales response, combinations of 10" drivers seem to be where most bassists are happiest. If you need more bass, at louder volumes, you simply add another pair of 10s.
All magnetic speakers work in the same way. How you move the voice coil is irrelevant: it could be from an iPod, a CD, a guitar...hell you could use a 9V battery to move the coil. It doesn't matter. All that matters is how the speaker reacts to that magnetic charge.. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure there's nothing right in this post. : D

I actually have a 210, a 2.5 (2X10 with a 5" HF driver) and a 1X15. I always use the 1X15. I add the upper cab depending on the gig. Yup, that's what I'm trying to tell buddy with the blown 12. The TL EVM15B has always been the go to cab for quality, volume and portability. And there is possibly no more demanding source that a high powered bass amp fed by an aggressive played bass guitar. Way different than a music source.
