I'd say that most people I meet don't get it wrong. But some do. It's irritating, especially when you know you really just CAN'T correct them. Which is usually. : D

Then there's that famous ex-special forces guy all over the gun shows who for the life of him cannot pronounce "incendiary" - which is ok, but he gets it different every time. My fave was "incinerary".

(Leonhard) Euler is pronounced "oy-ler," not "yoo-ler." I don't mind the butchering of the name when someone else says it, but it is annoying when I say it correctly, and people don't know who I am talking about.
