I think you have proven yourself to be better than the typical fanboi, IMO and I mean this with no disrespect you are the Chris Wolstenholm Fan-Master. Therefore, anything that has to do with Chris(muse in general) you are allowed to like/want.
I already sent an email to Rob at Status-Graphite for the Chris Wolstenholme bass 
I've been looking for this type of a production from Status since they discontinued John Entwistle's Buzzard B1... A through-neck headed graphite monster with beauty made for rock/hardrock music... Can't wait, even though I'm realistic, it might take months...
is it his signature bass?
That would be an awesome bass to have. Looking at that video its probably a status that had a Midi XY pad and kitara style neck put on it. Not really just a kitara/status fusion because atleast to me the pad looks bigger and even the top has a status shape. Maybe somthing for me to look into building if i ever finish the s2 im building now.
THe two were merged. It is literally glued together. The pad is not bigger, it is the same size as the kitara.

A kitara controlling a synth isnt exactly fitting that description and isn't too different to what 'these guys are doing' imo.

So are keyboards not real? Is it the fact that you have no strings the issue?
I aks be cause "Unsustainable" is clearly a guitar and bass, and madness had a bass line that was played on a Kitara, which is literally a guitar like controller.
As for the "not too different" comment, I think you would be hard pressed to find any "dubstep artist" using a Kitara, or any other real instrument. I can say with the utmost certainty it is mostly Reason and a computer, and if you have ever seen Skrillix live, you can see he is a laptop and a turn table, and maybe a few pads for triggers.
I am starting to really hate all the BS surrounding this album. All the "I hate dubstep" and "where did Muse go" crap. Here is a hint. They are making millions of pounds playing what people ask for. Your voice is not loud enough. Don't like it, don't listen to it.

Just to clarify, everything everyone is complaining about, has been done by Muse before, you just never noticed or didn't bother to listen closely.
Vocoder: Used in SMBH by Dom, also used for the backing vocals in B+H and Hysteria just to name a few.
Kaoss Pad leads: Again, SMBH and shown many times on HAARP.

Nothing they are doing, including ripping off little heard classical pieces and calling them their own, is new. The issue is, the band is evolving, and they have changed. Chris used to be an alcoholic, Matt used to be single and is now married with a child. Things change.
No one here can even say they have not changed. You used to listen to Disney songs and probably had a time in your teens where Led Zepp or Black Sabbath where the only things that were music. Now, you can't even enjoy new music from a band you "used to like, until they evolved" and further to the point, get all pissy because "they are just not the same".
I wonder how many of you have ever written a song, and years later laughed at how awful it was, believing what you are writing now is better. I wonder how many of those new songs you have written are just as awful as those 10 years ago.
I mean no offense, but I have heard some pretty awful sounding things coming from guys on here, and others have gushed over it. The only reason you can attack Muse, is because you never hear from Muse.

No, I am touchy about trolls ruining good threads. I'll put it to you this way. Have your opinion, just do it in another thread. Maybe one about the album, not the bass player.
You clearly dont know what trolling means, i see your point & i admit the kitara is a real instrument as are keyboards...thats a mistake, not trolling. Try to learn some manners.

So yesterday, Muse performed in E-Werk, Cologne, and they also performed one of their new songs Follow Me which has a mean chorus, and there is a dubstep style bass drop at some points, of which I am not sure if it is a bass or a synth.

I don't know what's happened with muse with all this dubstep crap. There's already 746994 dubstep acts out there and muse do it worse than them, you've only got to read the comments on madness & unsustainable YouTube videos to confirm this. **** this kitara bollocks, they should stick to their strengths, whatever next a muse jazz album?
