+1 That is SWEET. I assume very lightweight and very open sounding. Beautiful looking also!

yeah that spalted is really light... the wood i picked out in "plank form" ( uncut, just glued together) is 8.1 lbs... so once cut it will be half of that for the body... its gonna be light... but... yesterday we cut the Costa Rican Mohogany KBP5.... Jimmy and I were freakin on how light it was... now to find out if the sound is as good as the weight...

Wow 3 LG's your crazier:help::bassist: than me...

Jes... Joel, your going to have to hire another secretary just to manage your TB profile and schedule playing time for each of those basses. The rumor is Roger Sadowsky and Vinnie Fodera are considering downsizing based on your new found AC obsession.

Picked this bass up a month ago at Bass Gear in London. Just couldn’t resist it. It has a spalted alder body and DN fingerboard. It has a timbre to it that I think gives it a quite characterful high-mid sound that cuts through well in a mix. I’m really glad to have the opportunity to enjoy an Alleva Coppolo. Just thought I should share.

Thats really sweet!! :)

I have a new (to me) LG5 on the way. Mitch's "old" 2011 Winter NAMM Classic Supreme. I've really wanted a sunburst LG for a while. This one looks perfect.

I think a few folks here may have laid hands on it at the NAMM show.

Congrats KME...thats a great looking LME you picked up.

Joel, Congrats on your 3rd LG5! Your new Sunburst was hangin
out with my Inca Silver LG5 at NAMM.

I've played this one - lovely bass :)

I seem to remember that Chuck Rainey borrowed it for a while and like it so much he asked Jimmy to build him a 5 string version?

That’s true. Phil Nixon at Bass Gear told me that story. It really is a wonderful bass. I'm so glad I managed to get hold of it.

No, I did not pay that much. The price was reduced to £2250, which I think is more reasonable. I don’t know what you are supposed to pay if you order a new one?

Phew..that's more like it.:)
I too have no idea how pricing "really" works at AC and what the list price would be for this bass...
Yours really does look nice!!
