I was holding my bass in my hands and eating breakfast.. the day after my dog of 15 years just died at home right in front of me... I was very upset..
She had a heart attack..
I just felt compelled to carve her name in my bass in memory and honor of her friendship.. Now every engineer i work with and some drummers ask me to bring and play the POUDAH bass.. pronounced Pooo Duh.
I does happen to be the best sounding passive bass that i own..

I've seen pictures of that bass before. I can understand player wear, but why would anyone carve words into a bass?!!

When I've seen pics of that bass in the past, I always wondered the significance of Poudah, but never asked because I thought it might be a little too personal. My dog is a big part of my life too. So, I feel for you. Remember, there are no leashes in Heaven.

Im an open book.. just ask .. ill tell ya..

you have a Nice looking dog too.. After Poudah died we got a rescue.. I originally named her Alien because she was so weird looking from the pound.. but that was cruel so now she is Allie... My girlfriend says she is just a mix of some real bad DNA.. but she is sweet and loyal... the dog that is..:)

So, I guess you can say that bass is a real dog (but in a good way)! :)

Guys, these new basses are killing me! Tommixx - seriously sweet sunburst! AJ - love that black RA5, and hope you stuck with the Pearloid PG!

This thread is going to the dogs - my resident canine associate is shown below. His name is Logan. He likes to help at rehearsals. His rhythm isn't half bad, but his harmonic sense is atrocious.

As for amplification, all Genz Benz + Bergantino all the time here. A Neopak for small gigs, and a GBE 750 for the bigger events, paired with either one or two HS210 cabs.
