Club Alleva-Coppolo (Part 21)

Without having it in my hands....sometimes if you straighten the neck out via tightening the truss a bit, then raise the action at the saddle a bit it can help glide the string over the problem...you have to get the sweet spot and also adjust the other string's action to taste. I have my necks almost flat....just a tiny hair of relief. I find this can get me the cleanest action when I find the sweet spots in string heights.
Over time it's possible things can move a hair in the wood too...so have a repair guy analyze what's going on if it can't rectify or gets worse.

I hate messing with the truss rod. It seems like it's not a big deal but it ends up being a very meticulous task. Any advice anyone?

15 on the A, it's not you, it's the fret that is slightly higher.

Have it dress or loosen your truss rod a tiny bit (1/16 CCW).

You can raise the A saddle to compensate but you're gonna mess up your radius.

I'll try going counterclockwise 1/16 of a turn in a bit and maybe going up slightly on the saddle. The others string are pretty much where I want them to be, although the B and E string are a tad bit too low so maybe the 1/16 turn will be good.

Have you guys used these new pickups Jimmy is making with old wire? Incredible!

Here's a short clip of the RA. I got rid of that buzz and thought it was fine but then this morning during a short set I learned it was still a bit high haha. Back to the bench tonight.

Here it comes!!
This one has a beautiful dark rosewood, not an usual RA. Had a fresh set up today, sounds glorious, powerful and so pounchy! The tone is unbelivable! Great playability, a little bit of a neck dive, maybe due to the vintage hipshot tuners! The Jimi Hendrix dedication is poetry! Isn'it fun?
